Wedding trumpet

It’s that special day. The organ played quiet preludes while ushers seated the guests. The families have entered, and the wedding party is in place. The back doors open, and the bride steps in…

What would the entrance be without a trumpet? It’s the sound that tells everyone to stand up and take notice. It gives the escort a little extra pride in his chin. It’s just not the same without a trumpet.

Usually a wedding party (that means the bride) requests a trumpet for the bride's processional and the recessional. However, once engaged for the day, other pieces are included if desired. It's common to have trumpet on one or two preludes or exit music.

Trumpet Voluntary - standard trumpet

Trumpet Voluntary - piccolo trumpet

Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring - standard trumpet
